reset when inserting
Some cards draw excessive power at power on (when they are inserted), causing the chameleon to reset. This may also be caused by an insufficient power supply, try another if you can.

stops working after reset
some cards apparently stop responding randomly when they are re-initialized. The chameleon menu code tries to work around this by always sending a "abort" command before (re)initializing, but this may not always work.
- Panasonic 1GB SD class 2 (blue label)

Workaround: pulling out and re-inserting the card will usually make it work again
core reload is corrupted
apparently some cards do not disconnect from the SPI bus correctly once initialized, causing core reload (either by right button or via the menu) to fail.
